Sometimes a vortex of pain, confusion and madness can lead you someplace magical… Like getting to see a very talented singer perform live. And sometimes that shit happens just around the corner… Even in the ‘hood! And am better now (or at least on my way)!
After writing the above paragraph last night, I feel like I need to rewind and explain how I got there and what’s happened since… Last week I was in this mopey youtube music vortex while I worked. I heard this song by Cloves and loved it so much I started listening to the rest of her music, checked out her site and realized she was having a concert around the corner from my house in a couple weeks. I immediately wrote the girls and asked them if they wanted to go. Excited about having something to look forward to, I went back on the site Monday night to get tickets and the show was obviously sold out…
Then, I may have sampled the wine last night while listening to music and sent her an Instagram message about how we might be able to see the show even though it was sold out. Of course, that’s the short version and I have no intention of going back and reading what I wrote but what’s important is this:
