Why is it so hard to follow it?! Apparently, I still have plenty lessons to learn in 2016. All themes are still in effect! 
The ipod played the Doris Day version of the Alice in Wonderland song “Very Good Advice” a couple nights ago while I was working on the house. Obviously, the song has racked up plenty of plays over the years but it might as well be the anthem for 2016. The moment it came on, I regretted not using it in my last post. But when I sat down to edit it, I decided it deserved it’s very own post. Especially since I’d put Alice to shame with the way I’ve steadily been giving myself very good advice since the last post and then blatantly ignoring it. I have to give myself a little credit though… I was recently converting a hole I dug earlier in the year into a respectable trench and it didn’t take me very long to start taking my very good advice and climb out. I probably could have done it with a little more grace… I guess could have listened to my very good advice to begin with and never started digging the trench but I just had to seeeee!
I haven’t even finished writing this post and I’ll be damned if the guy with the flowers from last summer hasn’t reappeared via text and here I sit cackling about it in another conversation with a girlfriend like, he has returned, right on schedule, assume the cage positions! When I should be pulling up my Verizon account and adding his number to the block list… Which happens to be very good advice. (Update: I followed my very good advice and shut it down promptly)
For now I’m still hanging out on my rock while I gather the energy to head back into the Tulgey Woods. Luckily I have a couple Cheshire cats here to keep me entertained. 😀
